Who we are
Social Upliftment Solutions NPC (SUS) was established in 2017. The view is to reach into and change the lives of people in our local communities. The Memorandum of Incorporation states that the company’s main objective is to “raise funds and utilise the funds to uplift and enhance socially disadvantaged black people through social development and poverty relief”.
SUS is registered as an 18A and Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) with the South African Revenue Service (SARS). We are a Level I B-BBEE contributor. Our vision is to contribute holistically to the expansion of God’s Kingdom by means of sustainable social upliftment in our communities, with credible projects which we verify and continually support. Local people are being equipped and trained in communities in which they live and work to ensure sustainable skills transfer takes place.
Why we exist
Through our strategic shareholding partnerships, SUS is able to generate continuous and sustainable funding to benefit the broad-based community.
SUS reaches right into where local needs are and meet them at the source – whether they reach the hungry, the poor, children, disabled, traumatised or underprivileged people. All are focused on giving those in need a new sense of self-worth while empowering them to achieve self-sustainability through training and skills development..
How we operate
Having SUS as a shareholder in your company is a way to truly contribute to broad-based upliftment while simultaneously reaping the benefits of a significantly enhanced B-BBEE level status and improvemment on CSI requirements. A QSE may for example obtain a level II status and 125% recognition level. SUS receives income from dividends declared by the company.
How we are structured

SUS is governed by a board of directors, while the composition of the board complies with the act, SUS is managed by staff members, volunteers and leaders from the community.
Our memorandun of incorporation stipulates that all proceeds and donations must be utilised for the benefit of approved brood based initiatives. One off SUS’s main goals is that at least 90% of the funding received must reach the community.
A dedicated volunteer or staff member is actively involved in the day to day running of every project.
